Cleveland and New York: The World Publishing Co., 1942, special edition no. 249/425, signed by Black on limitation page, owner inscribed by Solowey on half-title page, 4to; 251 pp. 1/4 brown leather with handling wear, beige cloth boards, spine intact-starting to loosen, absent dust jacket, illustrated with 175 plates, catalogue and index at rear. Designed by Robert Josephy. Good.
Provenance: Inscribed by owner, "Ben Solowey", (1900-1978) on the half title page, Polish-born American artist. Signed in the iconic style and "classic signature that almost became a logo for him". (Leopold)
