An incredibly rare design by Italian ceramics prodigy Aldo Londi (1922-2003). The pottery sculpture at the center of this lamp can be found in archival photos of Londi's estate. However, the sculpture are usually stand alone pieces. This is the first example I've across as a lamp.
The piece is incredibly well made and rests upon a solid teakwood disc as its base. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Wiring works perfectly. It is unsigned/untagged.
