A key figure in the modern figurative movement, Itchak Tarkey (1935 - 2012) born in Serbia but considered a preeminent Israeli artist collected by many for his vibrant depiction of socialites, particularly women, in parlors, terraces, and cafes. This is a signed original titled "Layla" circa 1990's and obtained at the estate collection of a scion of the toy industry in Los Angeles. Stretched canvas size is 13" x 16" and overall frame size is 19.5" W x 22.5" H x 2" deep.
