This is an iconic McGuire design, famous for its distinct back, a rattan oval that frames a series of smaller rattan segments bound by rawhide to create the illusion of cracked ice or shattered glass.

The dining chairs have a cerused finish, which gives them an organic modern or coastal look. Each chair is signed with a brass plaque mounted under the chair seat and with an inlaid mother of pearl M on the back of the seat, signifying McGuire's highest quality pieces.

The 1970s era chairs are in excellent original condition. All chairs are sturdy and beautiful with intact cane seats. Two chairs have the original cane seats, and the other two were newly caned. There is a vintage patina to the rattan with some minor rubbing. Some of the rawhide binding has been repaired. Please see photos for more details about condition.

Each chair measures 37" tall, 21.5" wide, and 24" deep, with a seat height of 15.25 inches and an arm height of 19 inches. These chairs were used with 3" thick seat cushions, which brought the seat height up to a more standard 18.25 inches. less
