This is a rare and extremely unusual clock by the famous firm of Maison Forest of Paris. The clock features a gorgeous and very clean original rosewood case with a magnificent figural sunburst pendulum and bright gold Dore' bronze ormolu that is jewelry quality casting. The clock is a collaboration of sorts, with the movement being likely an English-made movement and the case made by Forest. The retailer was in London. The case will show signs of age including but not limited to old repairs and signs of age and use such as age cracks in the veneer. Dates to the 1880-1910 era.
