Description: Gorgeous late 19th century set of French Empire brass fire chenets featuring an andiron crossbar with detailed leaf motif finials … more Gorgeous late 19th century set of French Empire brass fire chenets featuring an andiron crossbar with detailed leaf motif finials on either end and a decorative hold in the center flanked by a twisted design. The spectacularly ornate andirons feature crowns on the top of each, surmounting an acanthus themed body, two figural faces applied to each lower side and anchored by a tripod base with two large scrolled feet and a front spire shaped tapered foot. The brass andirons fit securely into "L" shaped iron chenets embellished with brass finials-Making the set adjustable depending on the size of the fireplace it is meant to adorn. A wonderful accent to add a bit of European neoclassical elegance to any room!
