The 3 inch thick top is so sturdy it doesn't require a reinforcing apron underneath, which increases leg room and knee clearance to a generous 26 inches high. Support is provided by turned columns joined to a scrolled foot at the top which is affixed to, but can be removed from, the top for transport. The bottom of the posts are connected by a sturdy plank integrated into the joint between column and foot for a solid connection. Painstakingly stripped by our expert in-house staff, this handsome table is poised to be the center of your family memories for decades to come!
