Very more comfortable original piano stool / swivel stool by Gebrüder Thonet. The piano stool is made of beech wood and has four steam-bent feet with a bentwood ring for stability. The stool can be adjusted in height from 49 cm to approx. 70 cm. The long spindle runs fine. The stool has the original Thonet stamp "Thonet" and paper label under the seat. From my knowledge of these stools, I would date the year of manufacture to between 1890 and 1910. The paint shows clear signs of wear. The paint shows clear signs of wear. The seat cover has been replaced, the upholstery is still original, but one upholstery strap has been replaced. The stool is in good overall condition.
