This set belonged to my grandparents, and … more This is a 1950s vintage Drexel Duncan Phyfe style reproduction headboard and footboard. This set belonged to my grandparents, and carries a history of 60-70 years, which showcases its enduring quality despite the scratches and discolorations from years of use. It is crafted from rich mahogany and reflects classic craftsmanship. Perfect for someone that wants quality well-made furnishings with a touch of nostalgia. The headboard and footboard share two posts each, which have the pineapple finial design. All four posts are on casters. This set fits a full size mattress and box spring perfectly, as was common at the time. The box spring can sit either 14” or 16” from the floor. All 4 posts are on casters. There are two bed slats which make up the frame for this set. They are 76” long. There are also 3 wooden slats that fit the width of the bed at 54” each. Headboard is 67” tall (from floor to top of posts) and 54” wide. It is 44” tall from the floor to the top of the headboard.
