This is a Mottahedeh white covered trinket box or serving dish from Italy. I do not know the pattern name … more This is a Mottahedeh white covered trinket box or serving dish from Italy. I do not know the pattern name or age. It is an oval dish with straight sides and a matching lid. The design is a dimensional floral design and it is marked as shown.

The dish measures 5 3/8 inches long by almost 4.00 inches wide. It is 2.50 inches to the rim and 4.25 inches to the top of the handle.

It is marked Mottahedeh Museum Reproduction, but I’m not sure what it’s a reproduction of.

There are no chips, cracks, or other damage. The lid seems a tiny bit too big, in my opinion, but it matches, so I guess that doesn’t matter. I don’t know what it’s intended purpose was, but it’s very nice and very clean and could be used in the home, bathroom, bedroom or kitchen/dining. less
