About the brand:
The history of the furniture manufacturer Flötotto began in 1906 when Heinrich Flötotto opened a woodworking studio in North Rhine-Westphalia. Over the years, the company's focus changed from bespoke interior design to mass production of furniture. After the Second World War, Heinrich's sons Fritz and Franz took over the company and their work gave the company a good reputation for producing durable, modern chairs, desks, shelving systems and more for schools, offices and institutions. In the post-war period, the ergonomically shaped seating made of plywood (or Pagholz) could be found in classrooms all over Germany.
