Exceptional Art Deco sculpture/lamp by Max Le Verrier (1891-1973) representing a monkey under an umbrella. It is entitled La Pluie " The Rain " or Le Singe au Parapluie " Monkey with an Umbrella ". Model created around 1925-1927 and awarded at the Salon des Humoristes de Paris in 1927. Table lamp with two bulbs. Cast bronze with an antique green patina. The lampshade is original and in frosted glass. Hexagonal base in black veined marble.
Signed on the base " Le Verrier ".
Very rare old edition.
Wired for European use. This piece has an attribution mark,
