This solid oak wood chest features a rectangular-shaped top with pronounced and rounded front corners, atop a neoclassical inspired case that has a shallow break-front design and houses three dovetailed and graduated drawers (fitted with style ring pulls and escutcheons at center) flanked within flute-carved, rounded front side posts. Either side is recessed paneled, and skirt is linear and clean. This piece is presented upon four conical legs which terminate into peg style feet. Note that this piece is made of solid oak, not veneer. This mid-century Italian chest made exclusively for Bloomingdale's NY would work really well in a bedroom as a dresser, or perhaps in a foyer or living area with decorative items atop and storage within. less
