Large scale Chinese white porcelain vase hand painted with colorful designs depicting elaborate planters filled with flowers. On the back is a verse written in archaic Chinese characters by hand, stylised calligraphy. Further calligraphy on the sides of the neck. The piece is finished with geometric & checkered borders at the top and bottom rims and has handles on either side modelled as lions heads with rings. Turquoise fret work bands on neck area.
Marked with a 4-character dynasty mark stamped in red over the glaze.
Mid 20th century.
Excellent condition.
The colour palette of this particular vase makes this any piece easy to match with various interiors.
Acquired from a collector of Chinese porcelains who has amassed such over the last 40 years.
