On the back … more Large scale Chinese white porcelain vase hand painted with colorful designs depicting elaborate planters filled with flowers. On the back is a verse written in archaic Chinese characters by hand, stylised calligraphy. Further calligraphy on the sides of the neck. The piece is finished with geometric & checkered borders at the top and bottom rims and has handles on either side modelled as lions heads with rings. Turquoise fret work bands on neck area.
Marked with a 4-character dynasty mark stamped in red over the glaze.
Mid 20th century.

Acquired from a collector of Chinese porcelains who has amassed such over the last 40 years.
