Vintage 1970s Thomasville Embassy bar cart server. Old growth flaxen flared grain fruitwood (most likely pecan) from top to bottom, front and back. Beautifully finished on all four sides. Black lacquer accents and brass pull hardware tie together British traditional and Eastern design. The door facades exhibit a diamond pattern wood inlay with contrasting color tones, presented tastefully to demonstrate a delicate ornate sensibility. Interior cabinet space offers heaps of open storage with a removable single drawer on top. Large, flip-over, hinged wood panels open to reveal a super long 77″ black laminate surface ideal for food or beverage service. The laminate top looks as if it was rarely used. No composite or MDF anywhere on this campaign server / bar. Thomasville used a combination of solid hardwood interiors, solid fruitwood and veneers.
We purchased this from the original owners out of time-capsule estate and nearly everything in the home was by Thomasville. Purchased in the 1970s and kept in the same home until today. Every piece was pampered and this server was no exception. Cleaned and detailed inside and out.
