Dorothy Draper style campaign credenza made by esteemed US furniture maker Thomasville circa 1970s. Old growth flaxen flared grain fruitwood (most likely pecan) from top to bottom are the hallmarks of the Embassy line. Black lacquer accents and brass pull hardware tie together British traditional and Eastern design. The door facades exhibit a diamond pattern wood inlay with contrasting color tones, presented tastefully to demonstrate a delicate ornate sensibility. Two large Interior cabinet spaces offer heaps of open storage with a single stationary shelf in each bay. No composite or MDF anywhere on this campaign credenza. Thomasville used a combination of solid hardwood interiors, solid fruitwood and veneers.
We purchased this from the original owners out of time-capsule estate and nearly everything in the home was from the Thomasville Embassy line. Purchased in the 1970s and kept in the same home until today. Every piece was pampered and this credenza was no exception. Cleaned and detailed inside and out. Please reach out if you’re interested in the matching bar-cart, dining table or chairs.
This Thomasville Credenza was delicately restored to preserve the original patina. We did our absolute best to recondition this sideboard while preserving the rich, oily patina. The top was professionally refinished by our in-house cabinet shop to match the original and untouched sections. We’re certain you won’t be able to tell the difference. It’s a delicate balancing act to maintain originality while also recondition issues that need improvement. Please reach out with any questions about our restoration process.
Matching dining chairs, rolling serving and cart are also available (sold separately). less
