Painted on bard and signed lower right CF Miller. Likely Charles Frederick Miller (b 1884).
Miller was born in California and studied in San Francisco, then moved and worked in New York. Towards the end of his life he moved to Arlington, Vermont.
This scene is likely from the Vermont period and is an estate item from family associated with the region.
13 3/4"H x 17 3/4"W sight in vintage 22 1/4"H X 26 1/4"W frame. Frame has scuffs, loss of gilding, soiling of matting, work itself is in excellent condition. less
