Fabulously carved cameo brooch made at the beginning of the 20th century, during the Art Deco era (1920-1940). It depicts a beautiful portrait of a young lady. The execution of the shell is amazing, and the relief helps to add details and dimension to the design. The frame is 800 silver with tiny marcasite inserts typical of that time. The clasp is in excellent working order. There are very slight signs of wear, but overall, the cameo is in excellent vintage pre-owned condition. This is a lovely cameo that will be admired for years to come!
It is a gorgeous vintage cameo brooch with a nice size, measuring approximately 45.5 mm x 36 mm. This cameo can also be worn as a pendant. less
