Vintage Folk Art Carved Gilt Wood Fish Sculpture, Circa Mid 20th Century. Modern interpretation of a fish with streamlined and simplified carved features. Less than anatomically correct configuration with two raised wavy designs on either side and four fins cleverly placed at the base serving as feet. Previous layers of paint are revealed with a deep red and gold finish applied later in life. Likely mounted previously based on the circular well found on the underside. Unsigned.
