It is a rare, fine and monumental English Silver plate and cut- glass stepped and tiered cenerpeice-Epergne, in "HUNTSMAN" decor , attributed to Elkington and Company, Birmingham , fourth quarter 19th Century.
The central Pavilion with a stag head at the center of each eave and unframing a figure of Diana the huntress and her hounds.Below , the figure of a bearded hunter in stalking costume accompanied by a retriever ,fitted with trio of period richly cut-glass bowls. The while suported on twelve tortoise feet.
