ABOUT
An Art Deco "Postal Telegraph Bynchronous Electric Time" clock with a painted black metal body, glass front with chrome rim, black lettering with a black second hand.
The clock needs to be rewired and currently does not work. Price reflects repairs needed.

DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1930-1939.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Metal, Glass.
CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Needs rewiring. Loss of paint and some pitting of the chrome. No chips in the glass.
DIMENSIONS Diameter 20 in. D 4.5 in.
HISTORY
The Bichronous mechanism keeps the clock running for a short time in the event of a power failure. Hammond made clocks with and without the feature.
