Antique gilt wood French Louis XVI style open arm settee. Lovely with its original gilt wood patina finish, exposed bole, a classic ribbon carving, and fluted column legs.
The seat is the original 8 way hand tied springs covered in a heavy burlap weave upholstery and antique tack trim. The burlap is showing some signs of its age where it has separated from the front tacks, but this only adds to the "deconstructed" charm of this antique settee.
The new custom Irish linen seat topper has ballet ties wrapping the legs and a zipper closure. The topper can be machine washed. Settee is solid and sturdy and ready for everyday use.
