The freestanding wall unit is clad inside and out in spectacular book matched rosewood veneer. There are 3 bays, each with open shelving above and 2-door cabinets below. The shelves are adjustable, and the doors can be locked with an included skeleton key.

The shelving unit is unsigned, missing the original paper labels. However, the unusual hardware and distinctive design of this piece points to Norwegian furniture maker Scandiline. For example, the angled door brackets are uncommon, and I have only ever seen them on pieces by Bruksbo (another Norwegian maker) and Scandiline. Additionally, the upright panels are tapered at the edges with banded veneer meeting in mitered corners. This is a hallmark of Scandiline designs.

The midcentury era shelving unit is in excellent vintage condition. The unit is sturdy, well made, and fully functional. The rosewood veneer retains its vibrant color with only minor fading visible on the backing. There are scattered scratches and dents, as well as a small area of veneer loss on one of the doors. A working skeleton key is included, but it's uncertain whether the key is original. Please see photos for more details about condition.

The fully assempled shelving unit measures 77" tall, 96.75" wide, and 18.25" deep. The unit can be completely dismantled and flat packed for transport. less
