This Really is a Great Looking and Extremely Rare Antique Cast Iron Figurative Seated Rabbit - Hare Garden Ornament. Circa Approx 1900. NOTE That This Piece was Originally Produced to be Used as a Piece of Outdoor Architectural Decoration but it Could also Easily Be Used as a Doorstop or Just as a Wonderful and Unique Piece of Home Decor. Decoration. LARGE SIZE! - Measuring Overall Approx 11 3/4 inches Tall x 10 1/4 inches Long x 5 1/4 inches Wide!. It is Signed by the Foundry Company Maker ( First Word ) at the Neck Area in the Casting that I was Not Able to Identify - Decipher?. I am However Able to Decipher the Rest of Marking to Read "IRON WORKS NEW ORLEANS LA" ( LOUISIANA). It is Interesting and Important to NOTE That the City of New Orleans Was and Is Quite Famous for its Unique Architectural Cast Iron Exterior Decorations Etc. It has a 2 Piece Casting that is Fastened Together with a Hidden Steel Stud - Rivet at the Mid Stomach Section. You can Also See the Round Head of a Copper Rivet Fastener at the Tip of the Rabbits Nose. It is Very HEAVY WEIGHING OVER 14 POUNDS!. It is in All Original as it has Survived Over the Years Condition with No Do Damage to the Casting.
