On the back of the lid there is a diagram of how to put the blocks back into the case correctly after block play. The wooden box doesn't have any CE marks on the sides by which we conclude it was produced around 1993 when these markings become effective across the European Union.

The basic box 6 is the basic box of the classic ANKER brick construction kit system. It contains 105 bricks in the traditional colors sandstone yellow, brick red and slate blue. Booklet with 33 building templates provide ideas for castles, fortresses, bridges or towers as well as inspiration for your own imaginative projects. The principles of statics and bonding are taught in a playful way and the sense of balance is trained. The result of their superior formula and refined production technique, Anchor Stone Blocks (Anker-Steinbaukasten) are so precisely cut and polished that they fit together perfectly and due to their considerable weight stay together properly, lending themselves to most sophisticated constructions.

History:
In 1880, Richter builds a factory for the manufacturing “Richter’s Anker Steinbaukasten” in Rudolstadt. At the same time an art institute is established where artists, illustrators and architects develop the building plans for the Anchor Stone building sets. The first worldwide building set system is born and distributed under the logo of a red squirrel.
In 1884 Richter launches the first block series with four different stone building sets. They are displayed at various exhibitions and win numerous awards. In 1887 the first Special Edition set is released in honor of the 10-year papacy of Pope Leo XII: a huge true to scale model of the house where he was born.
In 1994, after a 35-year break and after very intensive and lengthy preparation, the new production of Ankerstein construction sets began. The manufacturer and custodian of the authentic recipe and concept is Rudolstadt's Ankersteinbaukasten Fabrik GmbH & Co. KG in Thuringia, Richter's "old factory".
Box 6 from Richter's complete 34-box series was chosen as the basis for the new edition - a perfect copy. Both the natural wooden box and the contents and models are identical to the original basic box no. 6. This authenticity is guaranteed by a certificate in the form of the trademark.

This set of building blocks is perfect for children aged 3 and above who love construction and architecture.
