Massive royal purple headlamp crystals in dog-tooth settings alternate with pairs of glass baroque pearls. The purple stones (which are a little lighter in person than the photos show) are extraordinary, a rich saturated color with subtle faceting and a broad table. The pearls are luminous and glowing. The construction is supple, allowing for much movement that accentuates the sumptuousness of the purple stones. The style, construction, and stones all point to Schiaparelli, and many of her pieces in this period were not signed.
