Exquisite and rare chinoiserie style desk! This is a large, executive size work of art. Elaborately decorated with intricate bamboo designs and beautiful paintings. The drawer fronts and desktop feature artwork depicting asian scenes on a lacquered black background. The legs, drawer front edges and desk trim are all bamboo over a hardwood frame. The stunning details surrounding the desk sides, back (and even underneath where your legs go!) are all created with genuine bamboo also held together by little wooden pegs. Just gorgeous on all sides so you can even float it in a room!
There are a total of seven (7) drawers. They all slide easily, but are handmade and only fit in their own designated drawer spot. The 2 largest bottom drawers have been retrofitted with sliders. All have brass hardware.
