Every detail is considered. The framed upholstered backs and elegantly capped front feet are particularly handsome elements. Keen eyes will notice the notched areas where the back intersects the rear of the seat. The armchairs feature gracefully sculpted, bowed arms. The bowed shaped arms and ample seats accommodate larger guests and lend comfort to all. The seats and backs are well padded, another plus for comfort. These chairs have been restored with all new, neatly tailored upholstery. The low pile, channeled, gold velvet fabric is accented with piping along the edge. The maker is unknown, but the quality is unmistakable. In fact, we think these chairs are a step-up from Monteverdi-Young. These chairs arguably score higher with and edge on design and stout American craftsmanship.
