1925 Antique Barley Twist Oak Draw Table
Origin: These tables were popular in England and other European countries during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Construction:
Wood: Crafted from Solid Oak, a sturdy and enduring wood choice. This table has great color and beautiful wood grain.
Dimensions: The rectangular tabletop measures approximately 72” x 42” when extended.
It measures 42” x 42” with both leaves tucked under.
Barley Twist Legs: The most defining feature! The large chunky barley twist legs are intricately turned, resembling twisted barley stalks. they also have a nice patina. This spiral fluting adds texture and visual interest – a hallmark of craftsmanship.
Bun Feet: The legs culminate in bun feet, ensuring both style and stability
Draw Leaf Mechanism: The table has two leaves that can be extended or retracted. Each leaf measures 15” x 42”.
Stretcher: This table has an “X” shaped stretcher connecting the legs for stability.

As is, the left leaf on one end is not flush with rest of tabletop surface, slight rise towards one end approximately 1/4". Minor repair: Screw should be replaced or glued in place to stabilize. Priced with this issue in mind. less
