On the back of … more Antique original oil painting portrait of a gentleman in 17th century costume with an engaging expression. On the back of the portrait, it is written "Copied by Emeline H. Gordon, Boston, 1929", leading one to believe it is a portrait after a well known work, however at the time of this writing I have not located a match. Possibly King Charles II with some artistic liberties taken, but I think he's a closer match to Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin!

Housed in an antique wood frame with untouched, worn gold leaf finish where you can actually see where the sheets of gold leaf were overlapped.
