- Offered is a set of four Nichols & Stone Birdcage Windsor dining chairs consisting of four side chairs. These chairs … more Offered is a set of four Nichols & Stone Birdcage Windsor dining chairs consisting of four side chairs. These chairs feature split wedge mortise and tenon joinery in the seats & top of the crest rails with faux bamboo turned spindle legs & H stretchers characteristic in Birdcage Windsor design. No longer in production, Nichols & Stone was purchased in 2008 by Stickley Furniture. As with most pieces of preowned furniture these chairs show some wear and use commensurate with age. One of the chairs has had a repair to a broken back support stile. The repair was well made and is solid and stable. It is shown in the photos. Please look carefully at the pictures as they make up an important part of the description. Overall this is a hard to find set in good condition. It would look great in any country kitchen or dining room. Questions are always welcome. less
