Lovely antique portrait of a woman’s profile. Her demeanor is calm and pensive. Oil on canvas. Perfect patina. Signed and dated, though hard to make out the signature without taking the painting out of the frame. There is a slight warble in the canvas but not noticeable once the painting is hanging. Sort of add to the character, in my opinion. There is also a tiny amount of paint loss on the bottoms left. There is handwriting and a sticker on the back. After attempting to translate a word that I could make out I believe this piece is likely Swedish. Nonetheless, European. Dated 1915.
