Large baluster from traditional Japanese Imari vase converted to an electric lamp. Classically Oriental, with hand painted designs of alternating contrasting medallions--a phoenix bird flying over a pink cherry blossom garden against a red embellished ground & flowers on a trellis against a blue ground.
Mounted on a gleaming carved wooden stand with elegant stepped design.
Early 20th Century
