The technique was adopted from China, where it originated between 2500-4000 years ago. Each region of India developed their own distinct patterns and dyes. This traditional process is still practiced in small workshops in India. Only the most experienced carvers can work on the complex designs. This pair of stamps detail beautiful, intricate floral and leaf designs. Each has a hook on the back to display these incredible pieces.
