E.j. Ward r. A. And in block letters the initials l.s.d. The box contains two dark glass bottles, bottles with handles and punched silver caps. The numbers l.s.d. Are engraved on the neck of the bottle. The same initials as the handle. The marks on the cap attest to the silver fineness of 925/000 and indicate the assay office of the city of sheffield in 1860/61 by the silversmith with the initials h.a. Unidentified.

the brass lock is from the well-known chubb of london. The box is in good condition, with the exception of the green internal lining which shows signs of wear consistent with dating and use.
