This desk represents the vestiges of the colonial period, with solid plank top supported by turned legs dovetailed underneath, with a tier of three drawers, tailored in design, and fitted with steel pendant pulls. The legs are joined with a classic "H" stretcher for strength and longevity. Such a desk would have belonged only to the affluent, who could afford the education and status, especially with a desk almost 8' in width for a spacious workspace as well as to impress guests.
