Large Art Nouveau wall sconce 51cm high (20”). Collectible original antique France 1920s.

Frosted white glass shade with enamelled detail of a flower in red, gold and clear glass. Flower detail is also visible on the inside of the glass shade. No chips or cracks, some signs of age.
Cast bronze fixture in classic Art Nouveau design. Superb craftsmanship. All elements, including the leaves, are thick cast bronze metal; not stamped sheet metal as was done in the Art Deco period. There are 4 signature stamps on the piece LR 5410, GL 5410, GB 5410. My theories: 5410 is the item number; LR, GL and GB are the initials of three craftsmen that worked on the piece. During the Art Nouveau period all pieces were hand made by master craftsmen; they were proud of their skill and workmanship and were allowed to stamp their work. Fixture is in excellent, near perfect condition.
Furnished with new wiring.
