Exquisite 19th century French Louis XV style bronze-mounted commode with marble top.
The serpentine-fronted mottled Breche d'Alep marble top is over two long kingwood veneered drawers mounted with scrolled ormolu handles and escutcheons, terminating in four cabriole legs.
The whole commode has ormolu mounts of the finest details of scrolling foliage.
Most of the commodes in the market have ormolu on the front of the commode. This commode is especially unique because it has ormolu mounts on the front as well as the sides.
Signed JVHD on bronze mounts.
