Framed artwork circa 1959 by New York artist, Fred Schwartz. The work features a stylized, surrealist reclining woman on a beach. The artwork has a minimalist, expressive style, using black outlines and loose brushstrokes to define the body. The colors used include a combination of earthy tones—mainly pinks and browns for the body—with accents of green, particularly in the hair. The woman's face is prominently drawn with simple lines, giving it a bold yet abstract appearance. In the background, a small palm tree is visible on the left, while a portion of a sun or radiating lines appears on the upper right.
Newly matted and reglazed with Tru Vue, museum glass with UV protection and no glare/reflection. Wooden frame is original to the piece. Excellent condition.
