Hand-knotted in a special blend of Ghazni wool, this 9x12 rug from the custom-classics Burano Collection by Rug & Kilim inspired by antique Caucasian rugs of tribal provenance.
On the Design:
A rich chocolate brown field underscores a wide array of colors in the all over floral pattern, which favors large-scale palmettes and cloudbands in particular. The main border favors light gold undertones, while its inner and outer borders enjoy similarly bright hues to the field, but in a meander of s-hook motifs (a well-traveled motif among many provenances of Caucasian, Persian, and Turkish rugs).
Admirers of the craft will further appreciate an especially soft, comfortable texture and beauty inherent to the Ghazni wool that underscores this piece.
