This lovely set is fabricated in the early 50s and retailed through Harrod's.

Mascagni was known for his provocative use of new materials in furniture designs such as skai (PVC) and anodized aluminum.

The padded skai exterior is trimmed with gold colored aluminum.
The interior of the set is clad in skai which also lines the exterior.
The stylishly tapered legs are also with skai and golden colored aluminum strip.

This set is in good condition with the normal traces of use (see the pictures). This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
