Very beautiful large Art Deco vase by Gustave Serrurier - Bovy (1858-1910), Belgium ca. 1920. A brassware of hammered copper sheets alternated with strips of bent wood and sculpted and with two handles.
Gustave Serrurier-Bovy is a Belgian architect and decorator born in Liège in 1858 and died in Liège in 1910. He is one of the main Belgian representatives of Art Nouveau. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
