Physically, the lamps are in truly remarkable shape. Electrically, the lamps are new, including new including new pull chain sockets and braided silk cords. We re-used the beaded pull chains from the original sockets so the patina would match the rest of the lamps. Included with the lamps are a set of (13" top x 17" bottom x 9" tall) black parchment buillotte shades with gold foil liners as well as original acorn finials.

This pair of converted French oil lamps date back to 1860-1880. Some time in the early 1900s, the oil tanks on the lamps were cut in half in order to convert them to electricity. All of the detailed metalwork in the brass have a depth of color and patina that only age can bring. Physically, the lamps are in truly remarkable shape. The original marble bases are mounted underneath the claw feet and above a very thin profiled brass plate that matches the profile of the marble with a slight reveal. The subtle details of these pieces are truly magnificent.
Electrically, the lamps are new, including new including new pull chain sockets and braided silk cords. We re-used the beaded pull chains from the original sockets so the patina would match the rest of the lamps. Included with the lamps are a set of (13" top x 17" bottom x 9" tall) black parchment buillotte shades with gold foil liners as well as original acorn finials. The height of the lamps are slightly adjustable from 26" to 28.5" tall. less
