The hand-blown glass orbs measure from … more Large collection of six Japanese fishing floats or net buoys in rare large sizes. The hand-blown glass orbs measure from 9 inches (2) 10 inches (3), and one 14 inch float. The glass orbs have lovely jewel tones with two having a rope netting still attached. Used in Japan from the 19th-century to mid-20th century to float fishing nets. Great for display as objet d'art or paired with coral for a nautical theme. Sold as a set of six. From the Calistoga, CA estate of artist Ira Yeager (American 1938-2022).
