Late 1700s Golden Empire Applique Lamp obtained with a carved wooden palm vase gilded in fine gold, converted into an applique to be used as a wall lamp. On the back of this lamp you can still see the signs of a shoulder, an element that allowed its vertical stability and the lateral signs of two handles, now no longer present. The central surface of the vase is engraved on plaster and is decorated with the carving of a garland of flowers with two festoons. The terminal part has an original decoration with a leaf carving, unusual for palm holders. In good condition, this golden wall light from the eighteenth century is functional, suitable for an E27 bulb. Minimal defects in the gilding compatible with dating.
