Vintage Made in Italy hand-painted and drip-glazed pottery vase or planter. Two pieces designed together as if coral or sea sponge growing from the bottom of the ocean floor.
Excellent design work from the bi-morphic shape, addition of applied details, g white and tan handpainting in sponge technique overlayed by drip glaze in aubergine. The interior is drip-glazed with teal color reminiscent of the ocean water. Iridescence from high-fire kiln process is seen as your eye moves around this art piece.
