Description: A beautiful pair of Chamberlains Worcester dessert dishes.

The dishes have an celadon green border with ornately moulded handles and … more A beautiful pair of Chamberlains Worcester dessert dishes.

The dishes have an celadon green border with ornately moulded handles and gadrooned rim. The centre of each dish is exquisitely hand painted with a riot of asters, ranunculus, forget-me-nots, peonies and auricula to name but a few. The dishes have wavy borders and show slight wear and detailing to the moulded rims.

Both are free from chips, cracks, crazing or restoration but there is slight wear to the celadon green border.

Chamberlains were operational between circa 1786 - 1840. Without pattern numbers I cannot be more specific about the date of these dishes but would estimate them at around 1810-1820. less
