ABOUT THE ARTIST: BOHDAN IVANOVYCH ROMANIUK (January 3, 1939—September 11, 2015) — UKRAINIAN ARTIST, TEACHER. MEMBER OF THE GLADUSHKYK ART GROUP. He was born on January 3, 1939 in the village of Chernytsia, now Brodivsky District, Lviv Region. The knack for drawing appeared in childhood. At first he studied in his native village, later in the village. Osinnyk, Kemerovo Region (RF). It was there that he started to be creative. Since 1962, he worked as a teacher of singing and drawing at a school in the village of Ratyshchy of Zboriv district. In 1967-1972, he studied at the art and graphic faculty of the Odesa Pedagogical Institute named after K. D. Ushinskyi (now a university), his mentor was S. Hermaise. For the first time, the artist's creative works appeared at a collective exhibition in 1972. In 1977, he moved to Kremenets. He worked in various genres of painting (graphics, still life, landscape, portrait), various techniques (watercolor, gouache, oil, pastel, tempera).
