This 13 cm high Bizen stoneware vase is a unique and exceptional piece. Doubly incredible, it was broken then restored with the traditional kintsugi technique using 24 carat gold. A significant gap having appeared, I decided to replace it with a geode which adds depth and originality to the piece.

Bizen stoneware is a Japanese pottery known for its durability and rustic beauty. Made from iron-rich clay, it is fired at high temperature in a wood-fired oven. This process gives the pottery its characteristic color, which varies from brown to gray, and its rough texture.

Kintsugi is a Japanese technique for repairing broken ceramics. It consists of filling the cracks with gold lacquer, which gives the object a new beauty and new value.
