A beautiful, evocative illustration of a woman reading by the 19th-century artist Aubrey Beardsley.
This is a stunning vintage art nouveau mirror featuring a design by Aubrey Beardsley for the front wrapper of Leonard Smithers' Catalogue of Rare Books, No. 6 (1896).
The piece showcases a young lady dressed in a ruffled gown and a low-cut jacket, wearing a flowered hat and seated on an elegant striped couch while reading a small book. A cockatoo on an ornate perch near an ornate column watches her. This wall art comes in vivid colours with a hint of luscious red in an art nouveau design, set in a light to a mid-coloured sleek wooden frame. It's in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of authentic patina, making it a beautiful addition to any space.
